Met de zon mee gefotografeerd lijkt de lucht nog dreigender. Ofschoon de twee foto's niet geheel passen wilde ik jullie deze foto niet onthouden.

Amersfoort

Bijna elke veertien dagen kom ik in Amersfoort. Zo ook van morgen. Amersfoort is een vestingstad. Op mijn weg naar mijn bestemming loop ik vanuit de parkeer garage langs plantsoen Oost. Met het vallen van de bladeren levert dit een als maar mooier gezicht op.

Amstersfoort
Almost every fortnicht I'm in Amersfoort. On my way to my destination I'll pass Plantsoen Oost. In this time of the year the view gets prettier and prettier.

Feestje

Feest vandaag. De verjaardag van mijn dochter en haar man. Maar ook de kleinkinderen op bezoek. Intussen hebben we voor mijn schoondochter nog een leuke klok gevonden. Met dank aan de buurvrouw die er geen belagstelling meer in had.

Birthdayparty
It was a party today. My daughter and her husband celebrated there birthday's. And the grandchildren were here today. In the meanwhile We've found a old clock for my daughter-in-law. With thanks to our neightbour how was not langer interested.

Kleinkinderen

Vandaag komen de klein kinderen. ook al is het maar even. Voor een van hen eindigd de herstvakantie voor de anere twee begint deze nu. Een weekend hebben ze allemaal vrij en kunnen ze bij elkaar logeren. Dolle pret dus. Morgen vieren mijn dochter en haar man hun verjaardag. Dan zien we de kleinkinderen opnieuw. Twee keer feest dus.



Grandchildren
This afternoon all of the grandchildren will arrive. Even if it's for a little wile, it's great! For one of them her vacation ends. For the other two the will stay with there father this week how lives around the corner with us. They have all weekend to stay over and have all fun with each other.Tomorrow we'll see all of them again at the birthday party for my daughter and her husband. Thats two parties for us.

Eind inzicht

Met de herfst op volle toeren komt ook het einde van de herftvakantie inzicht. Ondanks goede voornemens Ben ik grootdeels thuis gebleven. Een uitstapje naar het MAS, het afdrukken van een paar foto's op A1 formaat en inlijsten hebben al mijn energie op gesoeppeerd.
Op de terug reis van het MAS stopte ik nog even in Breda (Achter-de-lange-stallen). Dit hek markeert de scheiding tussen de openbare en privé ruimte van het tussen gelegen hof. Met in dit jaar getijde een passende kleur.

Looking back
The fall is is here in full force. My vacation nerly over. Accept for my trip to the MAS at the beginning of this week, the printing and framing of some photos, I had no more energy left to do somhting else. On the way back from the MAS I stoped in Breda and took this picture of a fence. The color represents the season nicely.

Wish I was there

Ierland 2011. Nadat we Wales bezocht hadden, was Ierland aan de beurt. Schot moest nog bezocht worden. Mooi weer en alle tijd van de wereld. Heerlijk zo'n vakantie. Als ik naar buiten kijk heb ik al weer heimwee.

After our visit to Wales we went to Ireland. After that we visited Scotland. Is nice to have all the time in the world. Looking outside I wish I was there again.

Storm en regen

Nog maar even een foto van het MAS. Buiten is het nat en stormachtig. Geen weer om er op uit te gaan. Mischien voor het strand. Plannen voor een mooie herfst vakantie lijken nu in het water te vallen.

Again a picture of the MAS. This time of the wave like glass front. Outside the winds has grown into a storm with lots of rain. It look as if my plans for a late vacation has drowned.

Antwerpen reviseded

In Nederland kom je ze niet of nauwelijk tegen, in Belgie daarintegen veel vaker: kleurige huizen. Ook gisteren wist ik er weer een op de foto vast te leggen terwijl ik van het MAS naar huis reed.

ANTERP REVISEDED
In Holland colorful houses are rare. In Belgium I find them more common. Yesterday I photographed one on the way home van MAS in Antwerp.

Antwerpen MAS

Zoals gezegd vandaag naar Antwerpen. Meer in het bijzonder naar het Museum aan de Stroom (MAS). Gevestigd in een bijzonder gebouw van gestapelde blokkendozen die zich als een spiraal naar boven wentelen. De Winnie the Poo's waren ilegale import. Een beetje westerling mag alleen de originele beren kopen en niet de veel betaalbaarder namaak. Iemand zal er wel beter van worden.

Antwerp MAS
As I said yesterday, I went to Antwerp, and more specifically to th Museum on the Stream. It is housed in a nice building with stacked blocks in with you go up like in a spiral staircase. The bears on display where Illegally imported. As European you odd to buy the real thing and not a cheap affordable one. Someone gets better for it.

Luierdag

Vandaag wordt er geluierd(?) In de zon op het balkon. Tussen door nog geprobeerd de 2850 dual wan router van Draytek aan de praat te krijgen (wat niet lukte). Geeft niet, het is mooi weer. Morgen naar Antwerpen.

Lazy Day
With the nice weather this last few days I spent my time mostly on the balcony sitting in the sun and listen to the sheep blaring on the green downstairs. Except for a non successful attempt to install a dual wan router, its a lazy day. To morrow I'll go to Antwerp.

39 Jaar

Het is 39 jaar geleden dat mijn eigen bloem en dochter Floor werd geboren. Vandaag dus een vader en dochter bloem

It is 39 year ago that my daughter Floor was born. Therefore today this Father and Daughter flower.

Beter

Het weer is verbeterd, en ook ik ben aan de beterende hand. Volgende week vakantie. Hoop daar van te kunnen genieten.

Better.
The weather has improved. No more rain and strong winds. Even my healt has improved. Next week there is a holiday coming up of withs I hope to enjoy.

Het ergste is voorbij (ziek), ondertussen voel ik me al een oud gebouw.

The worst is over. But in the mean time I feel like a building ready for demolition.

Zalig de kleinen van geest

Uitgerekend de laatste dag van het AFFR blijken de medewerkers van stadstoezicht het bewijs te leveren, dat zelfstandigheid in een overheidsbaan niet tot de beroepskwalificaties behoort. Terwijl de gasten buiten bij de auto afscheid nemen van de organisatie, schrijven een tweetal in uniformen geklede gemeente beambten een bekeuring uit omdat ik niet mag parkeren voor de Lantaarn het Venster in Rotterdam. Dit ondanks dat hen was uitgelegd dat we binnen enkele minuten zouden vertrekken. Zou het soms tijdens de bezetting ook zo gegaan zijn, dat je iemand alleen een uniform hoefde aan te trekken om zijn verstand uit te schakelen?

Mindless people.
Today was the last day of the Architectural Film Festival in Rotterdam. Wile some of the guests saying there goodbye's the officials op traffic control wrote a ticket for € 70,00. There is is no parking some in front op the theater. In spite of our insurance that we were living within minutes. I wonder if during the occupation of Europe by Germany it was just as easy to switch of ones mind by just putting on an uniform, and reforming an human into a bureaucratic robot.

Prachtig weer

Soms krijg je een foto cadeau. Niet iedereen zal blij zijn met het stormachtig weer en de vele regen die ons land teisteren. Maar vanmorgen tussen de buien door was er een moment waarop je blij bent dat je camera klaar staat voor gebruik.

Beautiful weather.

Some times you'll get a picture in a gift wrapping. Not everyone will be happy with the weather we'll having. Storm and lots of rain blowing over the land. But this morning between the showers there was a moment that I was glad that I had my camera with me to take this picture of the wonderful clouds seen from my balcony.

Website update

Na de fotoshoot van de familie moest de website natuurlijk worden geupdate. Dus niet alleen twee nieuwe pagina's maar ook alle foto's aanpassen om op de site te kunnen worden gepubliceerd.

Ik heb eveneens een bestel pagina aan gemaakt. Nu kunnen geïnteresseerden direct foto's bestellen. Voorlopig alleen voor de familie foto's. Anderen volgen later.

Website Update
After the fotoshoot last Sunday the pictures had to be uploaded to the website. I needed not only a couple of new pages, but my photo's needed to be adjusted to the site specs. I even made a link to a site where the pictures can be bought. For now just for the family the other pictures follow later on.

FILE

En dan heel vroeg op. Ik moet om 09:40 de eerste filmproducenten van het AFFR ophalen van Schiphol. Door de harde wind en de regen staat er op de A4 een file van meer dan 10 Km stil. Ik ben blij dat ik wat vroeger van huis gegaan ben. De terugweg verloopt al evenmin zonder oponthoud. Even op en neer naar Schiphol duurt dan bijna 4 uur.



Traffic jam

This morning I got up early to get the first film producers from the airport. Due to the bad weather (coarse winds and rain) there was a traffic jam on the way to the airport of more than 7 miles with little or no movement. I was glad that I had a very early start to day. On the way back more jams. So instead of 2 hours it took me 4 hours to go to and from the airport near Amsterdam.

AFFR

Morgen begint het Architecture Film Festival (AFFR) Voor mij betekent het vroeg mijn bed uit en zorgen dat ik om 09:40 op Schiphol sta om enkele mensen op te halen. Helaas is het weer niet met zo mooi, ofschoon het voor al een festival is waarbij je binnen naar films kunt kijken.

Tomorrow Th AFFR starts. For me an early raise to pickup some of the participant from Schiphol airport and bring them to Rotterdam. The architecture will be shown on film so it isn't a bed thing that the weather has changed for the worst.

De herfst begint

Het einde van het mooie weer lijkt nu definitief. Hier en daar nog een straaltje zon die de pracht van de hefst kleuren nog accentueerd.

It's fall again.

After the very nice Indian summer of the last days fall is here again. The little bit of sun that lasted this morning gave the autumn leaves there nice color. From now ons it's raining for some time.

Foto shoot

Mijn schoonzoon vierde zijn verjaardag. Een mooie gelegenheid om een groot deel van de familie weer eens op de foto te zetten. Met een auto vol licht en statieven dus naar Almere. Deze week dus nog iets na te bewerken.

My son in law had his birthday today. for my a nice opportunity to photograph (almost) the hole family. Therefor with a car full of lamps and tripods to Almere where he lives. Now a have to work with photoshop this week.
