Op de achtergrond zijn de restanten van de oorspronkelijke brugpijlers nog te ontwaren.Aan de hoogte te zien was deze oude brug bestand tegen een veel hoger water niveau dan de nieuwe brug op de voorgrond. Zouden we dit vooruitgang kunnen noemen.
