After spending the last months on programming a website, I finally found the time to pickup my photography. This time I when to Almere in the centre of the Nederlands to take a picture of an original shaped apartment building by Rene van Zuuk.

Back in time

In the 1970's I was photographer during the summer in the a district of Rotterdam Afrikaanderwijk. All summer long there where a huge activity program for the kids.
Like soccer, swimming and all kind of street activities. The picture here is of the back of the one of the housing blocks in that district.

Rond 1975 weerkte ik als fotograaf voor een kinderfeest in de Afrikaanderwijk in Rotterdam. Gedurende de zomer werden er tal van aktiviteiten voor de kinderen van de wijk georganiseerd onder de naam ApieWam. In mijn achief doos met negativen kwam ik deze foto tegen van de achterkant van een van de straten uit die tijd.

Renovation of the HEF bridge, Rotterdam

The Hef bridge in Rotterdam

The connecting part between the two towers is missing due to the renovation of the bridge. It's the former train bridge wich had to be raised for tall ships to pass. Sinds the traintunnel had been commisioned the bridge is just an industrial artefact.
