De man en zijn machine

Bletchley Park is de plaats waar Alan Turing een deel van zijn leven besteedde aan het ontcijferen van de Duitse Enigma code. Deze medewerker legt niet alleen uit hoe de machine werkt, maar was ook medeverantwoordelijk voor de restoratie van de machine van de naam Colossus. Een van de eerste digitale computers van de vorige eeuw.

Bletchly Park is the place where Alan Turing work on the deciphering of the German Enigma code. The man in the picture shows the working of one of the first digital computers of the last century. He was also involved in the restoration of this computer named Colossus

Achter de schermen

Tijdens mijn lessen krijg ik via mijn leerlingen vaak een kijkje achter de schermen. Dit is mischien wel erg letterlijk.
